We Just Got The Call!

Great News! We just received "The Call" from our adoption agency with our confirmed official travel dates. We will be leaving on Saturday; August 7th to head over to Moscow, Russia. We have an appointment with the Ministry of Education on Monday morning (8/10) to receive our official child referral and by the afternoon on that same day we will see our new son for the first time at his orphanage! This is a great way to start the 4th of July holiday weekend!

Adoption Timeline

10/17/2009 - Brayden Is Home!
10/15/2009 - Received Brayden's US Visa at the US Embassy
10/12/2009 - "Gotcha Day" - Picked up Brayden from the Orphanage!
10/11/2009 - Back in Moscow to start our 3rd and final trip.
9/30/2009 - Arrived back home from 2nd trip to Moscow, Russia.
9/28/2009 - Court Date - Brayden Alexander Wyllie is officially ours!
9/25/2009 - Arrived back in Moscow for the start of our 2nd trip.
9/16/2009 - Received our Court Date (9/28)!
8/15/2009 - Returned Home to wait for our Court Date
8/12/2009 - Accepted our Child Referral
8/7/2009 - Left on 1st trip to Moscow, Russia
7/24/2009 - Received our Travel Visas from the Russian Consulate.
7/7/2009 - Applied for our Russian Visas.
7/3/2009 - Received our "Invitation to Travel" from the MOE. Leaving August 7th!
6/22/2009 - Received both our FBI background checks in the mail.
6/5/2009 - Notarized and Apostilled Immigration Approval and FedEx'd to CSS of NC.
6/2/2009 - Fingerprinted at the Raynham PD for our 2nd FBI background check
5/29/2009 - Received CIS (US Citizenship and Immigration) Approval to adopt a foreign orphan
5/25/2009 - Officially registered in Moscow Region
5/19/2009 - Fingerprinted for US Customs and Immigration
5/14/2009 - Dossier sent over to Moscow, Russia
5/7/2009 - FedEx'd completed Dossier paperwork to CSS of NC
4/21/2009 - Started gathering paperwork for Dossier
4/20/2009 - Received written acceptance letter into CSS Russia Program (Special Day)
4/15/2009 - Filed our I-600a (petition to adopt) with US Citizenship and Immigration (CIS)
3/23/2009 - Sent application to CSS of NC (Catholic Social Services of North Carolina) for their Russian adoption program.
3/17/2009 - Home Study Complete
2/26/2009 - Closed on NEW house
2/10/2009 - 2nd home visit for Home Study (New House)
1/14/2009 - 1st home visit for Home Study
12/16/2008 - Fingerprinted at the Raynham PD for our 1st FBI background check
11/18/2008 - Started Home Study
11/16/2008 - Attended Adoption Information Class at CSS of Fall River
11/9/2008 - Nancy's Dad (Papa) mentioned the CSS Adoption Information Class in Fall River
2008 - We both realized that adoption was "meant to be" for this family
6/3/2004 - Ashton (pickles) was born
3/20/2004 - Married in Florida
3/27/2001 - Met in Nassau, Bahamas
